SUSAN KERSH PORTFOLIO
botanical stairs

the brief being collaborative projects, I worked with a group to elevate an inner-city space that was unused. The goal of our project was to promote a break from stressful university life by engaging in more nature.
I had done research on more sustainable ways to feel grounding- an example was to surround oneself in localised flowers and plants (they reduce energy via transport).
My group members worked on a rooftop-like space, and I worked on steps leading up to it. Halfway through, the stairwell splits, and ideally flowers and nature would let someone immerse themself.
